Position Description
Assistant Operations Manager reporting to the Operations Manager.
The Assistant Operations Manager must be an SQE Champion, balancing Operational, Customer and Financial goals.
oResponsible for the safe and efficient operational execution within the Carteret Terminal for all product movement functions in the field as well as in the local control room.
oContinual analysis of operational processes/procedures through execution of Operations Gap Analysis to mitigate issues before they become problematic.
oResponsible for maintaining open lines of communications and good relations with employees, customers, property owners, and local/state agencies.
oP&L responsibility for Operations Department
oOvertime control
oExpense reporting and control
oCoordinates and manages the performance of direct reports, including supervisors at various levels and support personnel, to safely and efficiently operate and maintain the terminals and any associated facilities.
oMaintain an up-to-date working knowledge of regulatory and company operating requirements and coordinates activities with regulatory agencies, other company departments, the public, customers/shippers and local emergency response agencies. Regulations including but not limited to:
oOps Info, IMPACT, EPA, OSHA, PSM, RMP, NJDEP, DOT/PHMSA, and local fire.
oActs as Incident Officer and qualified individual for any emergency responses and as leader of the Emergency Response Team. Activates and coordinates the Crisis Support Team if necessary.
oIdentify capital (sustaining/expansion) projects with defined scopes for the betterment of terminal operations.
oCoordinates with engineering to ensure project scopes are accurate and fulfilling operations requirements.
oWork with Commercial/Business Development on the Customer Inquiry Form process.
oWork with all direct reports to ensure that they understand and are working within expectations and meeting set goals.
oResponsible for hiring, development and management of EE's.
oDevelops and maintains working knowledge, and manages compliance of company and regulatory requirements (PHMSA, EPA, OSHA, USCG, DOT, etc.).
oEnsures overall environmental compliance for assigned area. Has authority to obtain resources necessary to minimize environmental impact in the event of a hazardous waste release.
oMaintains audit preparedness and participates in PHMSA / DOT field audits.
oMakes periodic inspections; MBWA (management by walking around) of all facilities, properties, installations, and right of ways.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
