Are you a dynamic, motivated professional with a passion for numbers and a knack for financial strategy? We are seeking an experienced Permanent Assistant Controller to join our thriving finance team.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to be a key player in our financial operations, focusing on accounting, financial analysis, budgeting, accounts receivable, general ledger management, and tax preparation.

Responsibilities:
As an Assistant Controller, you will be responsible for:
1.
Assisting in the preparation of financial reports such as financial statements and budget performance.
2.
Ensuring compliance with applicable standards, rules, regulations, and systems of internal control.
3.
Aiding in the implementation of financial policies, procedures, controls, and reporting systems.
4.
Supporting the Controller in ensuring all transactions are properly recorded in the general ledger.
5.
Overseeing the preparation and submission of all financial reports.
6.
Coordinating, preparing, and reviewing monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
7.
Coordinating and/or preparing tax schedules, returns and information.
8.
Managing relationships with external auditors and investigation of their findings and recommendations.
9.
Assisting in real estate management and utilizing software such as Yardi and MRI for financial operations.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
1.
A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2.
A minimum of 4 years of experience in an Assistant Controller role or similar.
3.
Experience in real estate management and proficiency in Yardi and MRI software.
4.
Solid understanding of financial analysis, budgeting, accounts receivable, financial accounting, general ledger, and tax preparation.
5.
Excellent knowledge of accounting and financial processes (budgeting, financial closure, reporting etc.
)6.
Understanding of data analysis and forecasting.
7.
Strong knowledge of GAAP and other accounting principles.
8.
Proficiency in MS Office (especially MS Excel) and financial software.
9.
An analytical mind with a strategic ability.
10.
Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
11.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
12.
A professional certification such as CMA or CPA is a plus.
