Movement Coordinator

Produce Plant Operating Orders to coordinate safe product movements according customer direction.
Coordination of terminal assets to complete customer orders; i.
e.
, tanks pipelines, pumps, etc.
Manage Control Room Operations.
Communicate constantly with customers for changes to orders, status of current product movement, etc.
Obtain Notice of Readiness (NOR's) for ships/barges and schedule accordingly.
Have an understanding of dock lines and how other internal terminal movements would affect vessel traffic.
Have an understanding of barge and ship sizes and know what barges or ships would fit on all docks.
Understand some nautical lingosuch as bow and stern, or aft and fore, mid ship connection or aft/fore connections.
Understand tides and draft restrictions.
Maintain online vessel schedule.
Communicate with inventory regarding irregular movements and maintain pipeline batch spread sheets.
Review with all customers, ship agents and barge company's upcoming movements through next business day.
Maintain and update Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA'S) and Notice of Readiness (NOR's) as needed during normal work hours.
Review customer's questions regarding movement options and tank options.
Communicate with on duty supervisor regarding upcoming vessels, pipelines with regards to manpower and other moves throughout tank field that may conflict with marine traffic.
Coordinate with inspection companies for gauging and sampling of tanks per customer request.
Communicate with project engineers and the firehouse regarding work within the terminal that may conflict with vessel traffic.
Work dock schedule with engineering to allow for dock upgrades as needed.
Coordinate after hour marine traffic with on duty scheduler.
Answer after hour calls from barge companies and ship agents to manage dock schedule after hours as needed.
Managing vacation of operation coordinators and control room employees.
Coordinate Movements for next day's activities.
Communicate with field Supervisor regarding upcoming manpower needs - pump needs.
Track, monitor and report any delays.
Update daily barge availability, ship Notice of Readiness (NOR's) & dock schedule.
Ensure barges and ships are docked in accordance with KM policy.
Brainstorming ideas to find the best rates or product movement.
Assist scheduler and field supervisor with operation.
Maintain Vapor Testing Records for all vessels.
Maintain tank chart book.
Other responsibilities as assigned.
