We manufacture the superconducting wire commonly used in healthcare and scientific instrumentation, particularly in the field of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) magnets.
These are used for big science projects like the Large Hadron Collider at Cern, Switzerland.
Responsibilities:
Follow all safety regulations as stated in the OST Safety Manual.
Proficiently use measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers Assisting in the assembly of etch cleaned parts in a clean room Assist in development and revision of etch cleaning procedures as needed Maintain well organized manufacturing paperwork Support and help improve our Lean manufacturing practices Work comfortably as part of a team on some tasks, and work comfortably with minimal supervision at other times Need to be capable of lifting 50 pounds Working safely with 55-gallon drum quantities of acids and chemicals in a manufacturing environment Utilizing good math skills to keep track of chemical mixing and etch cleaning processes Be familiar with risks associated with hazardous chemicals and how to work safely with same
Qualifications:
Familiarity with plant tools and equipment Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills Ability to handle physical workload Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment Bruker is a federal contractor and subject to Executive Order 14042.
