Yard Jockey/Straight Truck Driver

Our client, a mid size trucking company with annual sales of $300MM is looking for a Full time Straight Truck Driver/Yard Jockey to be located in their Carteret, NJ location.
Primary
Responsibilities:
Local deliveries in and around NY/NJ.
Drivers will perform basic yard jockey duties including daily yard checks, coordinate trailer repairs, inventory trailer equipment, and oversee daily operation of the yard.
Truck drivers will also keep the yard orderly and be responsible for all trailer moves to and from docks and drop yards.
Qualifications:
CDL not required but a plus.
Must have at least 3
years experience in the transportation/logistics industry
Experience in the food chain industry is a big plus, but not required.
Must be able to work in a fast paced environment
Must have a high energy personality, and be detail oriented with strong follow-up skills.
Must possess excellent people and communication skills, and show urgency in your work ethic.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
